The Final of the 2024/25 Ladies Consistency Singles Championship was played this morning between Karen Lyall & Glenda Mungkung. After an even start to the match, it was Karen who gained the ascendency leading 53-37. The next 4 ends were even with each player picking up 20 points, taking the score to 73-57 to Karen. Consecutive ends of 9,7 & 7 to Karen saw the lead stretch to 96-64. It was at that time that the rain started to fall, which seemed to suit Glenda as she mounted a comeback, & within 6 ends, she had all but eliminated the deficit, only trailing by 2 points, 111-109. The next end went 6-4 to Karen, but Glenda then hit top gear & her next 5 end scores were 7, 7, 9, 8 & 7, to take out the match & the Championship 150-129.
